The board is comprised of transgender people and allies who are dedicated to increasing
the well-being of transgender individuals living in rural areas through education,
research, and social change. Each board member has been involved in transgender support,
activism and advocacy on an individual basis before being brought into this project.
We have been volunteers, educators, organizers, campaigners, and providers of care
on many different fronts. Now we want to further expand the collective knowledge base
through in depth research of the factors that both support and challenge the well-being
of transgender people in rural and under served areas.
