4-H/Youth Development
Teton County is proud to offer the 4-H and Cloverbud programs to youth ages 5-18. 4-H is a nationally recognized youth enrichment program. In Teton County 167 youth and 47 volunteer leaders are enrolled in 4-H.
4-H members and leaders have the opportunity to participate in educational opportunities in a variety of ways. Youth enroll in a local community club and learn parliamentary procedure, decision-making and business skills. Each member enrolls in projects of their choice to learn more about topics of interest to them. Projects range from cooking to cattle, from entomology to electricity, archery to art, and from sewing to skateboarding. For many of the projects, members enjoy the benefit of having volunteer adult leaders who teach them skills.
Teton County 4-H members have the opportunity to gain confidence through meetings, projects and a number of exciting social events, such as the Teton County 4-H Fair, 4-H Camp, Congress and more.
Members from Teton County have been involved statewide serving on the State 4-H Council, State 4-H Foundation and State 4-H Youth Council.
