Rights and Reporting Options
Campus Civil Rights offers support and resources to individuals experiencing protected-class discrimination or harassment, including interpersonal violence. We are here to answer any questions about your options and available university processes. You control what happens next. You have the power to decide who knows about your experiences. The university’s policy and processes are in place to support you, and we encourage you to ask questions to ensure you understand your rights and the available resources.
If you would like to learn more about your options or the supportive and protective measures we can provide, please let us know. We will schedule a time for you to talk with us, as our process is participatory. We will only take action if we hear from you, and we encourage your active involvement in the process.
The document below will provide you with information about your rights and options including:
- Steps you can take after experiencing dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking;
- Information about reporting to the University or to law enforcement;
- Information about confidentiality;
- Written information about supportive and protective measures
- Additional Resources at the University and in the Bozeman community;
- An explanation of the procedures for institutional disciplinary action.
It is a lot to take in and we are here to help you navigate the resources available to you. Please do not hesitate to call us if you need assistance. We are available at (406) 994-2042 or civilrights@montana.edu.
