You can use this page to access online training modules available through Campus Civil Rights. We have created these on-demand materials for your convenience. They are meant to provide a high-level overview of your rights and the resources available through CCR. If you would like supplemental, departmental-specific information for your unit, please get in touch with our office.
All employees are required to take mandatory reporter (Also called Building Supportive Communities) training on a biennial basis. Click on the link above to complete the online training. You will be asked to log in using your NetID and password.
This training takes between 1 hour and 1.5 hours to complete.

Frequently Asked Questions
All University employees are mandatory reporters and must report known or suspected cases of sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination to the Title IX Coordinator. To make a report, employees should contact Campus Civil Rights by phone, email, in person, or via online form. Employees must make reports within 24 hours of receiving reportable information. The employee must provide the Title IX Coordinator with all information directly related to the incident, including, but not limited to, the names of people involved, as well as facts, including the date(s), time(s), and location(s).
Employees should not conduct their own investigations or engage in fact-finding, but as described above, should report information they have. Confidential Resources as defined in the Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Policy at Section V are exempt from this mandatory reporting requirement.
Yes. All MSU employees (faculty, all Graduate Teaching Assistants, Graduate Research Assistants, Administrators and staff members) are mandatory reporters who must complete the prevention training on a biennial basis.
- Yes, TAs, GTAs, GRAs are required to complete the training.
- Temporary employees and student employees are required to complete the training program only at the discretion of the RO or Human Resources and/or in conjunction with the department of hire.
