April 3 & 4, 2024 | MAES Red Bluff Research Ranch | Hwy. 84 in Norris, Montana

Email denise.delagarza@montana.edu for application. Application Deadline: March 15

Overview:

The late Chuck Dallas (MSU Class of ‘77) of Wilsall left an indelible mark on the wool industry in Montana. The son-in-law of crew boss Jim Carr, who sheared the MSU flock for many years, Chuck was an ASI Certified Classer who worked wool across Montana and the Pacific Northwest for 35 years. Chuck was also an active leader in the industry being a member of the US Targhee Sheep Association, Montana Woolgrowers and American Wool Council. This program is made possible by a generous donation from the Ringling Five in memory of Chuck Dallas.

Course Information

Please read carefully: Participation is limited to 10 people. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee as this course historically draws more applicants than there are spots. Participants must be active wool producers or involved in the industry; have time and the financial resources to travel to other states; be committed to sharing their experiences with other producers; and be an active advocate for the wool industry. This is not an ASI Certified Wool Class School.
