WISE began as a way to build community amongst female graduate students in science and engineering. 

WISE supports graduate students of all genders, especially those underrepresented in STEM fields. Specifically, we provide professional and social development opportunities by creating a support system and an active dialogue focusing on issues unique to women and non-binary scientists.

Our faculty advisor, Dr. Abbie Richards, is an associate professor and currently the Department Head of the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department. You can read more about her research here!
