What We Do
The Undergraduate Scholars Program (USP) programming includes:
- Research grant funding through a competitive proposal process for students from all academic disciplines to engage in research, original creative works, and scholarly projects.
- Travel awards for students accepted to present research and creative projects at regional, national, and international conferences.
- Opportunites for presentation to the MSU and Bozeman communities.
- Resources and support to help students get started.
Why Undergraduate Research?
With undergraduate research, students apply the skills and knowledge learned in the classroom and engage in creative thinking and problem solving. This "learning-by-doing" model helps prepare students for graduate school or employment in a professional field.
