Graduate School Diversity Leadership Coalition
The Graduate School Diversity Leadership Coalition (GSDLC) is a collective of graduate student representatives from affinity-based clubs on campus. GSDLC meets two times per semester with the goals of 1) building community & collaboration between clubs, and 2) helping the Graduate School understand how to be a catalyst for improvement for the needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Meetings are also an opportunity to collaborate on events, spread the word about your club's initiatives, and raise points of discussion. Meetings are planned & organized by the Graduate School's Student Success GA, and we are offeringVIM hoursas an incentive for more clubs to participate.
Last academic year ('23-24), the first meetings of GSDLC took place and a number of clubs participated. The coalition discussed topics such as: raising awareness of grant programs, availability of gender-neutral bathrooms on campus, and graduate student wellness events.
The next meeting is Nov 7th from 12-1pm in SUB room 168. Anyone who is a Graduate Student part of an affinity-based club on campus can participate. Once you have identified who will participate in the meeting, please fill out the RSVP form. You can also report VIM hours for your club at the link to the event on CatServ.
If you have any events, initiatives, or points of discussion that you want to be on the agenda, please reach out to the Student Success GA at any time: taylorladd@montana.edu
