The Indigenous Mentoring Program (IMP) was developed through the NSF-funded PNW-COSMOS initiative by researchers at Montana State University, University of Montana, and Salish Kootenai College. The purpose of the program is to train and support faculty and other mentors on the topics of student mentoring, resources, socialization, cultural humility, and culturally attuned practices for research conducted by AI/AN students. This session will include an experiential learning activity (please bring a folding chair) followed by a classroom session.
