Resources to Help Faculty with the Box Transition to OneDrive

As the university gets closer to its transition away from the storage site Box, University Information Technology would like to remind the MSU community how they can play a part in the successful migration of their data.

  • Clean up your collaborators. To make it easier for UIT to assist individuals, use the Box Shares Report folder to review current collaborators on files and folders. Learn more by visiting Box Transition How-To prepare videos
  • Reduce the number of files and folders. Delete any unnecessary documents or folders to expedite migration time.
  • Learn more about OneDrive for Business(OneDrive) and SharePoint Document Libraries.

MSU Library Open House - In-Person & Interactive Virtual Activities

January 18, 2022 from 3-6 p.m

The tradition continues. We look forward to gathering with MSU faculty, staff, graduate students, and Bozeman community members to enjoy food and beverages, listen to music, and explore the services offered by MSU Library and our partners. Our theme this year will be a bit different. In the past, we’ve chosen themes centered on classic works of literature, but for 2022, we will broadly celebrate the theme of reading. We've asked partners to select a book and we'll celebrate the joy and importance of reading in our personal, intellectual, and professional lives.

Parallel certificates to strengthen careers

Does your graduate student's career plan involve teaching at the college level, or using data to support decisions, or require supporting individuals who may be dealing with mental health concerns? Then one of our graduate certificates may provide parallel preparation for their career.

“Parallel” because these certificates can be completed while  working on a main graduate program.

MSU offers certificates in:

  • College teaching (12 cr.) where most students complete 9 cr. of coursework in education and 3 cr. of field experience. Students who complete the certificate and who are appointed as a GTA are awarded a $1000/semester teaching scholarship.
  • Applied statistics (12 cr.) where students learn to distill data into useful information, visualize patterns, explain scientific phenomena, and predict future events. Many students have taken 3-6 cr. towards this certificate (STAT 511 and 512) in their regular POS and are halfway to earning the certificate.
  • The new Mental Health Support Certificate provides mental health training for anyone who works with people -- community health workers, educators of all levels, librarians, emergency personnel, and so much more. The 12 credits of online coursework can be completed throughout two summers. Coursework will focus on development and helping theories, helping skills and attending behavior, crisis management, and trauma, reducing stigma around mental health, consultation and referral, and multicultural diversity/inclusion education and support.
