Montana Municipal Institute

The Montana Municipal Institute is held in May each year and includes sessions for municipal clerks, treasurers, finance officers, mayors, city managers, city council members, and local government attorneys. 

Municipal clerks and treasurers can earn education credit hours for IIMC, APT US&C, and MMCTFOA certifications. 

 

Athenian Dialogue

Athenain Dialogues are part of the Athenian Leadership Series through IIMC. 

Municipal clerks can earn IIMC education credit hours for Dialogue attendance and participation.

  

Municipal Summits

The MSU LGC, the Montana League of Cities and Towns (MLCT), and the Montana Municipal Interlocal Authority (MMIA) work together to provide education and networking opportunities around the state of Montana for Municipal Employees and Elected Officials! Topics may encompass legislative information, safety, human resources, MMIA coverages, good governance, open meetings, citizens right to participate, municipal support, and more!

 

Online Courses

The MSU LGC offers webinars on a variety of subjects. These webinars are often half an hour to two hours. Many of our webinars are accompanied by the slides from which the presenter gave the talk, along with a quiz to test the participant's knowledge of the material.
