What is 4-H?

Montana 4-H is the youth development program of Montana State University Extension. It is the largest out-of-school youth development program in the state, reaching nearly 20,000 youth in all 56 counties each year.

4-H offers more than 200 different projects and experiences that actively engage youth in learning and having fun. From learning how to cook or sew, raise an animal, or about conservation and robotics, 4-H offers a wide range of choices and opportunities for youth to learn and grow.

If you are interested in joining our 4-H program please call the Extension Office. The 4-H year runs from October through September. To be a 4-h member, you must be at least 8 years old by October 1st of the current 4-H year. There is also a Cloverbud program for members under 8 years old but must be 5 years old by October 1st of the current 4-H year. To register please visit Z-Suites.
