Current and Upcoming Webinars
MSU Extension-Cascade County is offering a FREE webinar series, called “The Night Check” in November 2024. The webinar series will help cattle producers learn about preparing for calving season, calf care, scour prevention, colostrum, and purchasing bred heifers versus cows.
- The first webinar will be on Friday, November 1 at 12:00 pm MST with Dr. Sam Wyffels. Sam is one of the two Montana State University (MSU) Extension Beef Specialists and is based out of Bozeman, MT. Sam will speak on calf care, colostrum, and scour prevention.
- The second webinar will be on Friday, November 8 at 12:00 pm MST with Dr. Megan Van Emon who is the second MSU Extension Beef Specialist and based out of Ft. Keogh in Miles City, MT. Megan will talk about feeding before and after calving season, balancing rations, and nutrient requirements for bred heifers and cows.
- The third webinar will be on Friday, November 15 at 12:00 pm MST with Dr. Rachel Endecott with Grey Horse Consulting and Goggins Ranch. Rachel will discuss buying bred heifers versus cows and the pros and cons.
- The last webinar will be on Friday, November 22 at 12:00 pm MST with Dr. Hannah DelCurto-Wyffels who is a MSU professor and based out of Bozeman, MT. Hannah will discuss preparing for calving season, stages of calving, intervention, and postnatal care.
