Welcome to Blaine County MSU Extension
Blaine County is located in North Central Montana. Chinook is the county seat. Other communities in the county include Lloyd, Cleveland, Zurich, Harlem, Turner, and Hogeland. Blaine County also includes the Fort Belknap Reservation and the communities of Hays and Lodge Pole.
Blaine County has just under 7,000 people living on 2,730,880 acres or approximately 4,267 square miles. The main industries of Blaine County include farming and ranching.
What is Extension?
MSU Extension Service is an educational resource dedicated to improving the quality of people's lives by providing research-based knowledge to strengthen the social, economic and environmental well-being of families, communities and agriculture enterprises. MSU researchers and educators work together to help individuals in Montana thrive. The programs of the MSU Extension Service are available to all people regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, and marital or family status.
