Blaine County is proud to offer the 4-H and Cloverbud programs to youth ages 5-19.  Montana 4-H is the youth development program of Montana State University-Extension.  4-H is the largest out-of-school youth development programs in the state, and reaches about 25,000 youth in all counties each year.  In 4-H, if you can dream it, you can do it!  4-H offers more than 100 different projects and learning experiences that will engage you actively while you're having fun. 4-H projects rely on trained adult volunteers who work with you as a partner and resource for your own learning. From learning how to cook or sew, to raising an animal or camping, and everything in between, 4-H offers youth a wide range of choices and opportunities. Blaine County is currently home of five 4-H Clubs:

  • Big Flat
  • North Chinook Boosters
  • Paradise Pals
  • Valley Clovers
  • White Pine

4-H members and leaders have the opportunity to participate in educational opportunities in a variety of ways.  Youth enroll in a local 4-H club and learn parliamentary procedure, decision-making and business skills.  Each member also enrolls in projects of their choice to learn more about topics that are of interest to them.  Projects range from cooking to cattle, from entomology to electricity, archery to art, from sewing to skateboarding, and so much more.  Members enjoy the benefit of having adult volunteer leaders who teach them skills through their selected projects.

Blaine County 4-H members have the opportunity to gain confidence through meetings, projects, and a number of exciting social events, such as the Blaine County 4-H Fair, 4-H Camp, and Project Day, along with statewide or regional events such as MT 4-H Congress, Rec Lab, and the GROW confrence.
