Faculty who teach the Department of English graduate programs include specialists in rhetorical theory, literacy, pedagogy, rural education, ecocriticism, the American west, and various periods of English and American literature. The award-winning faculty includes Fulbright scholars, Spencer Grant scholars, College of Letters and Science distinguished professors, provost’s lecturers, and teaching scholars. The faculty share responsibility in designing and delivering high-quality seminars and online courses and are experienced graduate mentors.

Dr. Benjamin Leubner

Dr. Leubner's current research focuses mainly on 20th century poetry and poetics, especially the work of James Merrill and Elizabeth Bishop, and the writings of Virginia Woolf. His most recent work has appeared in The Arizona Quarterly, The Whitefish Review, Bishop-Lowell Studies, and Review 31

 


 Dr. Susan Kollin

Dr. Susan Kollin

 

 

Dr. Kollin works in ecocriticism and the environmental humanities. Her secondary interests include 20th and 21st-century American literature, feminist studies, and western American literature and film. Her recent publications include chapters in the Cambridge Companion to the Literature of the West, Cormac McCarthy in Context, and the Routledge Companion to Native American Literature. She also edited A History of Western American Literature for Cambridge University Press.
