- Call to Order
Provost Martha Potvin- Provost Martha Potvin called the meeting to order at 8:30 AM.
- Approval of Minutes for October 7th, 2015
- There was a motion, by Bob Lashaway, to approve the minutes for October 7th, 2015; Tracy Ellig seconded the motion. The minutes were approved unanimously.
- University Wide Information/ Announcements
- Provost Potvin made the following announcements:
- The OneMSU Symposium is taking place at MSU Northern in Havre on November 5-6, 2015.
- Board of Regents will be taking place on the MSU Bozeman campus on November 19-20, 2015.

Kellie Peterson, Legal Counsel- Kellie Peterson presented the Amendment to the Conflict of Interest Policy. It will be posted for one additional month before it comes forth for a vote.

Chris Kearns, Vice President for Student Success
Matt Caires, Dean of Students- Chris Kearns re-introduced the President's Commission on Substance Abuse Prevention report. Matt Caires moved for the draft to move to a "final draft." Kregg Aytes seconded this motion. During Comments, Levi Birky read ASMSU's commitment to changing the culture of substance abuse at MSU. He brought forth the students' concerns regarding #8, #9, #10. Per Matt Caires, the committee will make amendments suggested, including changing "initiate" to "consider." Brett Gunnink also commented that the College of Engineering Senate are in agreement with ASMSU.

- Senator Bob Hawks commented that OneMontana is holding a retreat, thus if University Council had any ideas for the ven, he would welcome those.
