Earth Sciences Office Allocation: Leon Johnson Hall 309
Description of Request
Submitted By: Michael Babcock, Department Head, Earth Sciences
Professor David McWethy has been without an office for approximately a year, after
he relinquished his
office in Traphagen Hall for a new incoming faculty member. As a temporary solution,
he has utilized a
small, windowless space in Traphagen 212 to meet with students for advising. Therefore,
Earth Sciences is
requesting office space near his research lab in Leon Johnson Hall room 710 so that
he may be closer to his
research lab and graduate students.
Health Professions Advising will be relocating into Culbertson Hall at the end of
this semester, thus
creating vacancies in Leon Johnson Hall that can accommodate this request. Therefore,
staff proposes to
allocate McWethy an office in Leon Johnson Hall room 309, which is an appropriately
sized office space
based on the space standards outlined in the Space Management Policy.
Resolution
Date: May 5, 2023
Space Management Committee has approved the allocation of Leon Johnson Hall 309 for use by Professor David McWethy.
