Gallatin College Office Requests: Hamilton Hall
Description of Request
Submitted By: Stephanie Gray, Dean of Gallatin College
In an effort to reduce lease costs, temporary office space on Culbertson Hall’s fourth floor was allocated to Gallatin College in May of 2021. The Office of Research Compliance recently vacated four offices on the first floor of Hamilton Hall, thus prompting Gallatin College’s request to backfill those spaces in order to consolidate most faculty and staff into one building. If awarded these offices, Gallatin College would vacate 7 of the 8 spaces on the fourth floor of Culbertson. They have requested to maintain one office space for the Interior Design program director and NTTs, whose teaching studio is located in Culbertson Hall 101. Relinquishing the offices in Culbertson and moving faculty and staff into Hamilton Hall is a more efficient use of space, and is in alignment with space management’s defined space standards and utilization rates.
Resolution
Date: February 3, 2023
Space Management Committee has approved the allocation of Hamilton 114, 116, 118, and 123 to Gallatin College for use as described above.
