EELE 217 Lecture 12
Topics for today:
- Sabine Equation: T60 = 0.161 * V / A . V==volume of the room in cubic meters, A==total sound absorption in the room. A = sum( each_surface_area * surface_absorption_coefficient )
- Sabine Equation provides an estimate of the reverberation time. The actual reverberation time may be more or less than the prediction, but generally the equation gives an indication of which surfaces contribute the most to the overall T60.
Topics for the next lecture:

Acoustical testing (Reynolds Hall example)
