Dear Bobcat parent and family members,With spring break next week and the travel associated with it, there is heightened concern about the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19. Yesterday, University Health Partners issued a communication concerning university sponsored or affiliated travel as well as post-travel guidance. As of this afternoon, there are still no cases of COVID-19 reported in Montana. Spring break also means there are less than two months before the semester ends. For parents of students who are planning to graduate in May, please encourage them to attend the Annual Grad Fair coming up on Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the MSU Bookstore. It's a fun and informational event for students to learn about the details associated with the graduation process. And for you and other family members and friends who are planning to celebrate with your soon-to-be graduate, details related to our May 9, 2020, commencement ceremonies can be found at montana.edu/commencement. Many of you are also probably starting to think about your student's return home at the end of spring semester. If your student will be flying home, be sure to ask them to find out the specific timing of each of their finals before you purchase plane flights. Professors will not reschedule final exams for a student to catch a flight home. Find out more on our Office of the Registrar webpage devoted to 2020 Spring Semester Exams & Finals Schedules. Lastly, if your student will be home or remaining here in Bozeman for the break, they might consider getting a jump on summer employment opportunities. It's a good time to write or revise their resume and begin applying for summer jobs. Does your student need help writing or revising their resume?
