  • BIO 303: Global Diseases & Health Disparities
  • SPNS 101: Elementary Spanish (or equivalent language)
  • SPNS 250: Spanish for Healthcare Professionals (or equivalent language)                          

Restricted Electives: 15 credits                                            

  • Biomedical: 6 credits
  • Social/Economic Policy: 6 credits
  • Cultural: 3 credits

Sustainability

Minimum of 21 credits

9 credits must be 300- or 400- level

Minimum of 9 credits must be unique to the minor

Required Courses: 9 credits                                              

  • LS 103: Gateway to Sustainability
  • LS 411: Sustainability and Human Values
  • Select one of the following:               
    • ARCH 231 CS: Issues in Sustainability
    • ECHM 205 CS: Enerygy and Sustainability
    • HSTR 205 CS: The World Environment
    • SFBS 146: Sustainable Foods and Bioenergy Systems                        

Restricted Electives: 12 credits                                            

Select at least one course from each area:

  • Economic
  • Environmental 
  • Social

Global Studies  

Minimum of 30 credits.

9 credits must be taken at the 300- or 400-level 

Required Courses: 16 credits       

  • Foreign Language: through first semester of second year or demonstrate an equilavent profiency                   
  • Advisor approved Study Abroad coursework
  • Capstone Seminar            

Restricted Electives: 14 credits         

  • 14 credits of International coursework, 9 of which must be upper division.
