Tuition Payment and Banking
Tuition Payment
There are several ways to Confirm your Bill and Pay your Student Account bill:
- All students must confirm their bill (pay fees) with the Student Accounts Office by the fee payment deadline. All students must take some kind of action to be confirmed by the 15th day of classes each semester to avoid possible cancellation of classes and an additional $40 late fee. Confirm your bill here.
- Through QuikPAY, Montana State University is excited to offer a new tuition and fees payment service to international students. PayMyTuition allows you to make payments using your home country’s currency conveniently. For detailed instructions, please see the QuikPAY site.
- By credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover): in person at the cashier window or online using MyInfo (select Electronic Billing and Payment).
- By mailing a money order with a copy of your Web bill to MSU Student Accounts (P.O. 172640, Bozeman, MT 59717, USA).
- Many students prefer to pay their MSU bill in four monthly payments over the course of the semester. Students with accounts in good standing can arrange this type of payment plan by reviewing the Tuition Payment Plan Information and submitting the tuition payment plan application form. A non-refundable $30 processing fee is charged for this service.
Personal Banking
We recommend students open a US-based bank account while in Bozeman. A number of local banks, or local branches of national banks, have been utilized by international students at Montana State University for years. Some worth considering are as follows:
- First Interstate Bank: regional bank, located on Main Street (W Main St at S Grand Ave)
- US Bank: national bank, located on Main Street (E Main St at S Black Ave)
- Wells Fargo Bank: national bank, located on Main Street (W Main St at N Grand Ave)
