We have a very selective process and only work with a few top agents in each region. The first step is to complete our Agent Application form. A committee will assess your application and conduct reference checks before making a decision.
Yes. Montana State University is open to discussing multiple models of compensation for our recruitment partners based on enrollment. The INTERLINK Language Institute here on Montana State’s campus also offers a commission package for students that would like to study ESL prior to entering MSU. We are not able to waive the application fee for any agent, counselor or student due to Montana Board of Regent regulations. The undergraduate online application fee is US$38 and the paper application fee is US$30. The graduate application fee is US$60 for both paper and online applications. Application fees can easily be paid with a credit card when using the online application system.
No. We promise to give you the best service possible, however there is no special consideration for applications sent through agents. Our standards and admission policies are the same for all applicants. What we provide is regular communication and updates about your applicants and direct contacts to ask questions. We attempt to process applications as quickly as possible!
I-20’s must be sent directly to the student indicated on the I-20. Our standard policy is to send documents using FedEx. Please be aware that this service can take up to a week. We will provide the student with a tracking number so that they can monitor the package's arrival.
Undergraduate applications generally take 2 – 3 days once all of the application documents are received.
The graduate application process can be slower because all decisions are made internally by each department. In general, the process can take anywhere from 1 to 6 months. Please be aware that graduate deadlines are determined by each department. Please refer to the department's website for the most accurate information regarding application processing and deadlines.
Yes, we offer conditional admission at the undergraduate level for any student who either has not taken the TOEFL exam or does not meet our minimum requirement of a 71 TOEFL iBT or 6.0 IELTS. To view a complete list of the examinations and scores we accept, visit these webpages for undergraduate English requirements or graduate English requirements. In order to offer full admission, we require official results directly sent from the testing centers.
Undergraduate students that are offered conditionally admission will need to complete any additional requirements as outlined by INTERLINK International Institutes. Please visit the INTERLINK Informational page for more information about INTERLINK's programs. Before beginning their studies with INTERLINK, they will be required to take an English Placement Exam.
In general, there is no conditional admission for graduate students, unless it is a government sponsored applicant. Each department sets their own Englih proficiency requirements, but in general the minimum is 80 TOEFL iBT and 6.5 IELTS and we do require official scores sent directly from the testing center. For a government sponsored applicant we have a process of requesting provisional admission from the departments.
