- Workload Policy –
- Units develop own plans
- Specific types of assignments and distribution of % of effort
- Workload Plan Guidelines
- Questions - -
- Discussion ensued about workload and if the numbers reflect reality.
- Way to survey percentages from department to department that would be accurate?
- Seems to be disconnect between reality and expectations
- Expectations of hours in work week needs to be communicated. Then they could assign percentages to those hours
- How do we deliver our teaching mission based on the ‘inequity’ of workloads across departments? How do we address them?
- Any discussion about where administration falls into the percentages? How does it get managed since it’s not one of the three percentages?
- Concerns/questions should be sent to Michael or Abbie. Take it to JAGS, discuss and report back. Policy will be presented paragraph by paragraph for review.
- Provost Mokwa thanked Chair Babcock for FS feedback and reminded them that these are very preliminary drafts. Not being rushed through.
- Hierarchy of documents – Will become part of the Faculty Handbook
