Sewing Service Project Thanks to all the leaders, Matthew Fenger, Shane Kenfield, Larry Hendrickson, Joe Backen, Bruce Jeppeson, Tyler Jones, Chad Hedges and Jason Wanken for helping make a great 4-H shooting sports program in Liberty County.
The Marias Fair Ag Committee has material that they would like sewn for skirting for the Marias Fair Rabbit/Poultry barn. It would go on under the shelves to ‘hide’ the equipment, etc. that is stored under the shelves during fair to improve the barn appearance. A sewing work day is scheduled for March 28 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Cut Bank Voting Center and is open to anyone interested. Members would need to bring basic sewing supplies, a sewing machine, and a machine threaded with white thread. This is a great service project!
Swine Weigh-Ins
The swine weigh-in deadline in Liberty County will be Thursday April 9th as Jesse will be gone for Easter. Please note that the weight range this year is 220 - 300 lbs. A good starting weight range is between 80 and 110 lbs.
Please call Jesse to make arrangements.
Marias Fair Exhibits
Way to early to think about the fair? It’s actually a great time to think ahead. You may not be able to bake cookies or work on a gardening project, but you can make educational displays, sew, tool leather, weld, construct woodworking projects etc.
The cash prizes have been increased for the top 4 high point earners so getting started on your projects now might pay off in the end!
