Wildlife Project
Project Description
This project is designed for young people and families to learn more about wildlife, including wildlife management and science. The curriculum may be adjusted somewhat based on interests expressed by the youth enrolled. Topics will generally be focused on wildlife management and science, which may include acquiring field skills, use of tools to learn more about wildlife, and applications of knowledge to make decisions. Basic ecology will be integrated along the path to success, as will hands-on and team exercises. Families should plan on purchasing an assigned book (TBD) on animal tracks and sign, some basic materials (although efforts will be made for assistance), and other potential, but relatively minor, costs. The superintendent will work to minimize direct costs, including through donation efforts, potential loan of trail cameras, etc.
