Resources to Use with Adolescent Youth
Social and Emotional Learning for Adolescence (A preventative approach to substance misuse)
This module is intended to initiate conversations about substance use among teenagers in rural settings by utilizing the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) framework and activities. To achieve this, the module is designed to be very interactive. The goal is to normalize having discussions about drug and alcohol use with a supportive, safe, non-judgmental adult, to allow misconceptions about peer drug and alcohol use to be debunked, and to do all of this while learning important SEL skills.
