Prescription Opioid Prevention and Awareness Education Toolkits
Coming soon: Our rural opioid project team is designing an educational toolkit consisting
of five modules:
Introduction to Opioids, Home Safety, Stigma and Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), Community
Resources, and
OUD Treatment and Recovery. Our tribal opioid project team, directed by Kim Paul,
is also designing a culturally
focused version that will address these same module topics for Native American tribal
communities. These kits can be utilized by Extension agents, tribal leaders, prevention
specialist, health departments, and other community health professionals.
We hope to present these kits at the 2021 annual MSU Extension conference.
ROTA 2020 grant activities
Because this grant focuses on young adults grades 9-12, the Covid-19 setbacks have
caused our project team
and agent/tribal partners to postpone certain grant activities until the beginning
of the 2021-2022 school year.
