Members of 4-H may participate in many levels of the horse project. When 4-H members first enroll they must start at level 1 and must be assessed by a certified horse leader and bring a copy of the level assessment to the Extension office to move up in levels. Members must be at least 4-H age 8 to participate in the horse project. Other requirements are explained in the link below. Also check calendar above for dates.

Jan. 13, 2024: Clinic I at the Country Kitchen | Nov. 1, 2023 - 6-8pm: 4-H Equine Nutrition Clinic, located at Lazy R&R Ranch Supply (300 Morning view Dr, Kalispell), Free Event with Door Prizes & Samples. |
Feb. 10, 2024: Clinic II at the Country Kitchen | Feb. 25, 2024 - 3-5pm: Horsemanship & how the reflects riding games and communication with your horse. |
March 16, 2024: Clinic III at the Badrock Arena | Mar. 12, 2024 - 6pm: LaSalle Equire presents gastroscopy, endoscopy, & the dynamic scope as well as ulcers, asthma, and upper airway conditions. |
April 20, 2024: Clinic IV at the Badrock Arena | May-TBA: A Bit of Difference Horsemanship Clinic, Jamie clinicians Ashley Sudan, Emily Keefer (Tiehen) or Wendy McCaffree for the Gaming Project |
May 18, 2024: Campout at Swisher Lake Trailhead | TBA (March/April): Presented by Dave or Shawn with Groundwork foundation organized by Sarah. |
TBA (April or May): Organized by Sally with Engish or Western Dressage. | |
May 4th-5th: 2 day Clinic to Replace Horse Camp, Location- Sky river Equestrian Center | |

Horse Camp Member Registration
There is no official Horse Camp in 2024. There will be a 2 day clinic instead of Horse Camp for 2024 located at Sky River Equestrian Center. If you have questions contact Sally Rohletter at 406-249-7852.
