  • You have one or more living children from your previous marriage only. 
  • Your spouse has one or more living children from a previous marriage.
  • You have not adopted all children from your spouse's previous marriage.
  • Your spouse has adopted all children from your previous marriage... 

 

Distribution:  Your surviving spouse receives $225,000 plus 1/2 of the remaining balance.  Your children from your previous marriage equally split the remaining 1/2.  Your stepchildren do not inherit.
