Summer math camp now open for registration

A student taking a math quizSummer Math Camp will be hosted June 17-20 for students entering 6-9th grade in Fall 2024  

The Science Math Resource Center offers an in-person day camp on the MSU campus with mathematics and problem-solving sessions, university lab tours, and engaging STEM activities. Students entering 6th through 9th grade in Fall 2024, with a love for advanced mathematical concepts are encouraged to enroll.   

New this year! Montana families traveling from outside the Bozeman area to attend camp are welcome to use MSU’s summer housing, an affordable option to Bozeman’s summer housing challenge.

STEM Summer Institute is Aug. 5-7 at MSU

STEM Summer InstituteEducators, plan to join us on the MSU campus this summer for the sixth annual STEM Summer Institute featuring keynote speakers Paul Andersen of Bozeman Science and Ann Marie Reinhold of MSU.This event features compelling workshops and breakout sessions, shared meals and networking, exhibitor booths with lots of freebies and inspiring speakers.

The STEM Summer Institute is hosted by the MSU Science Math Resource Center, School Services of Montana and many partner organizations.

MSU receives $26.7 million grant for quantum technology;
SMRC will support education and workforce development

quantum 2D materialsWith a new $26.7 million grant from the U.S. Air Force, Montana State University will establish a facility with the mission of moving advanced quantum technology applications in cybersecurity, communications technology and national defense from concept and testing to market. The 20-month grant from the Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, New York, will support MSU’s Applied Quantum CORE facility.

The Science Math Resource Center will oversee education and workforce development, including creating programs that help youth, educators and community members learn more about quantum concepts and the quantum industry; and working with higher education institutions and industry to establish and promote career pathways and internships while exploring new training and educational programs at all levels.
